Vidyalankar School of Information Technology (VSIT),a science commerce and management college affiliated to University of Mumbai and accredited by NAAC is located in the heart of metropolitan city of Mumbai, the financial capital of India.
Late Prof. C. S. Deshpande’s (Founder, Vidyalankar Dnyanpeeth Trust) basic objective of starting an academic institution was to satisfy the inner urge of guiding eager young minds of students with a missionary zeal and imbibing in the receptive minds of the students, nobler values of life and thereby enhancing their worthiness.
The modern world is now in the process of a technological and cultural revolution of enormous scale, entailing significant changes in many production activities. There is an urgent need to upgrade the quality & opportunity of vocational education in India and to provide students with a virtuous cycle of opportunities. In this cycle, good training leads to better jobs, better jobs lead to increased productivity and increased productivity leads to accelerated growth of the Indian economy which, in turn, helps reduce poverty.
It is our belief that sharing and dissemination of knowledge is of utmost importance. As an institution committed towards its responsibility in building futures we have undertaken this endeavour to promote and propagate new research and ideas through our very first Annual journal of multidisciplinary research - Pradnyaa.
